Dear writers who attend our Parramatta gatherings. For one session only we’ll be meeting NOT at our usual venue (Mars Hill Cafe) but directly across the road in the Brandsmart building downstairs in the food court area – check for a huddle in a corner of poetry-reading story-telling (very cool) people… New-comers welcome as always.

ZW competition secretary Carol Amos is reminding writers that the closing date for entries is on the horizon: If you haven’t already sent us your pieces, don’t delay – they must be emailed or posted together with an entry form no later than 20th June!
Remember there are no fees and you may send in up to three short original entries in a range of genre. You need to live, work, study, or attend a writing group in Western Sydney and be 16 years or over. First Prize is $400 cash and there are other prizes and nominations from the Writing and Society Research Group, University of Western Sydney. Around thirty writers will have one of their pieces published in ZineWest 09. The launch will be late Sept/early Oct.
