ZineWest WORD: You are invited to attend our after party at Mars Hill Café, upstairs, 3:30-5:30 pm, where the talented musicians from the Songwriting Society of Australia share the stage with poets and writers. There are three music brackets and two Spoken Word competitions. The first Spoken Word comp is for invited ZW entrants only. The second comp is an Open Mic. You or your writing friends have three minutes to wow the judges (usually the musos) with poetry or prose. To be sure of getting a spot, sign on with MC Adam Marsden 3:00-3:15 pm. Gold coin donation.
Transport: The Parramatta Heritage Centre is about a ten minute walk from Parramatta train station or check your local bus service to the area. Car parking – at present the Heritage Centre cannot provide space for drop off and pick up on Church Street due to work on Lennox Bridge, and adjacent street parking is restricted. However you can still access the underground car park at the Novotel hotel 350 Church St, next door to the Heritage Centre, reasonable rates.
