Romanian works – Mihaela Cristescu
English works – SE (Sue) Crawford
English entries from Australians are mostly received via an invitation, however others may enter. We are particularly interested in works from Western Sydney writers.
INFORMATION FOR CONTRIBUTORS
STAY A WHILE is a collaborative, not-for-profit project initiated by Mihaela Cristescu with support from the NEW Writers’ Group Incorporated.
An anthology of poetry and short prose in Romanian and English – Romanian & Australian STAY A WHILE – will be published by Mihaela Cristescu in Romania and is planned to be launched in Romania and Australia in 2021/2022. This will be the ninth literary event co-ordinated by Cristescu at the State Library of New South Wales and her sixth bi-lingual anthology.
Due date for contributions is 31st January 2021
All entries are required to be submitted under the theme STAY A WHILE:
The triumph of love, hope and wishes accomplished under the sign of mystique and elegance – an experience and an achievement in the same time, a collection of texts about our (short) time of happiness and joy.
Some contributors are writing for the collection, others are being invited to submit a piece already written. The limit for each writer is approx. 4 pages A5. You can offer up to three works. Depending on space, and the size of your entries, we might offer to publish more than one.
We will publish as many writers as possible, however there is a selection process and we aim to advise you of the publishing list by end of March 2021.
The anthology will be illustrated by Luminita Serbanescu, Ottawa, Canada.
Copyright of the Anthology will be held by Mihaela Cristescu. The writers and visual artists will retain individual copyright. All entries must be the contributors’ original work and not under copyright from other publications.
Due to the cost of publication and launch expenses, no payment can be offered to contributors although their first copy of the anthology will be free.
Please advise if your English works are translations of your works in Romanian.
